GDV 1/2

Royal Ordinance
on
Officer Cadet Selection
(OCSallusion to an ox or (German) Ochs')

I divide my officers into four categries:

The wise, the stupid,
the diligent and the lazy.

Each officer has two of these properties:

The wise and diligent are suited for high staff positions.

He who is wise and lazy, however, is qualified as supreme commander because he has the composure and necessary strength of nerves to cope with every situation.

Even the stupid and lazy can be employed.

But most dangerous are the stupid and diligent. These must be eliminated instantaneously.

I'd Doo-Ittascribed to Frederick the Great and to Talleyrand
